Tarifica’s Take:
This flexible tariff is an interesting approach aimed at capturing a segment of the market that only uses these devices on given days. The future of iPad and tablet PCs as a replacement for laptops or TVs is still unclear and the consumption patterns are yet to evolve. Therefore, more and more carriers are introducing flexible tariffs that try to match the needs of different consumer groups, and Telcel’s attempt to acquire users is a good example of this trend.
