DATA SCIENTIST

Tarifica develops and maintains software and algorithmic tools that help national regulators, operators, and other industry participants track telecom prices and offers on an individual country, regional, or global basis. We specialize in generating curated data feeds that are tailored to specific user needs. We deliver datasets that cover every available purchasing choice facing consumers of telecom services.

The primary responsibilities of the Data Scientist will be to convert the information from Tarifica’s data feeds into a unified dataset and then use this dataset to model the telecom marketplace. The purpose of these models will be to gauge the impact of pricing and offering changes on consumer demand. In this role, you will work closely with several of Tarifica’s global clients.

Projects will include:

• Analyzing very large volumes of data using advanced statistical techniques
• Creating compelling data visualizations
• Identifying and evaluating new data sources
• Delivering presentations and making recommendations to clients and senior management
• Performing routine and ad-hoc data analyses and reconciling/correcting data issues as they arise.

The ideal candidate will have experience with the following:

• Python and R (other coding experience is a plus)
• Statistical modeling (candidates with experience applying these models in a marketing context are preferred)
• Tableau or other similar platform (Dashboards/Data Extracts/Analytics)
• Excel (at an advanced level)
• Data analysis/visualization

This is a great opportunity for a professional with three to five years of data science or engineering experience who is ready to take the next step.
