SOFTWARE ENGINEER

Tarifica’s data extraction and analytics business is growing rapidly and we seek to hire a Programmer who will be responsible for 1) mapping dynamic consumer facing telco websites, 2) designing scraper software to extract data from those websites, 3) ensuring data integrity and scraper maintenance, and 4) collaborating on database architecture. The Programmer’s primary focus will be to write code that will be used to populate a database with consumer telecommunications data extracted daily from telco websites around the world. Additionally, there will be opportunities to collaborate in the design of new databases, as well as working on other specialized projects. We are an expanding company looking to add talented people to help us further accelerate our growth. As we continue our expansion, there will be opportunities for advancement commensurate with the individual’s demonstrated capabilities, leadership skills and personal drive.

• Technical Aptitude – You have experience building web scrapers, including the ability to design robust architectures. The ideal candidate will also have experience with database management. We prefer experience with JavaScript or Python, but will consider candidates versed in other programming languages.
• College Degree or equivalent experience – We prefer individuals with a bachelor’s degree in computer science. However, we are willing to consider candidates with a different major or who have work experience commensurate with the position.
