Vodafone Netherlands has opened its first shop targeted exclusively at enterprise customers. Although business subscribers can already get service at the operator’s other shops, the new 430-square-meter shop has a special help desk and repairs department for businesses only. Located in Barendrecht, a suburb of Rotterdam, it will officially open on 7 February.
We think treating enterprise customers like consumers is an excellent idea. Vodafone NL is clearly courting subscribers from this sector; in September 2013 it partnered with U.S.-based developer SpiderCloud, which manufactures a technology to boost in-building coverage for 3G, 4G and Wi-Fi signals. A dedicated, convenient shop where enterprise subscribers do not have to compete for attention and where their unique issues can be dealt with as seamlessly as possible should help retain existing corporate customers and could attract new ones.
