Polish tabloid Fakt announced that it plans to launch an MVNO called Fakt Mobile, which will run on the P4 Play network. A starter package will be attached to the newspaper on 11 June, and each Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, the newspaper will print codes allowing free calls, SMS and data on the Fakt Mobile network.

MVNOs have been taking an increasing share of the Polish mobile market, and the sector is getting more and more crowded. We believe that a newspaper is a good candidate to launch an MVNO, because it has a preexisting potential subscriber base in its print subscribers. Also, the newspaper is an excellent medium for advertising promotions, which can help build up the subscriber base and reinforce customer loyalty.
